Early morning or late evening, California sunflower fields welcome you with the best landscape and natural lighting. You’ll likely need to alternate between shooting at the icons and blasting spheres out of the sky before they hit you, so be careful and shoot defensively until you can disable the dispenser by taking out all four icons. Once you get close to the other side, start strafing from side to side and aim your cannon at the four Bowser icons that circle the sphere dispenser. To proceed, make your way carefully across the hilly field and blast any spheres that come your way with the Sherm. Capture a Sherm and look around the corner first for some blocks you can break to get a Life-Up Heart. Head up the long path before you to a large field with three Sherms, and see that a device at the far end is spewing out explosive spheres rolling down the slope to you. The more flowers you collect, the faster you’ll go! Since you can’t run up, have Cappy collect the Boost Flowers near the base of the slope to give you a mighty speed boost up and over to the left to get up to the summit. Blast a path you can climb up the side, and be sure to break all the blocks on the top left to find a hidden Power Moon.Īt the top, grab the Wooded Kingdom Purple Coins along the ridge, then head up to find Binoculars you can use to spy your target at the top of a very long steep slope. Take over a Sherm and blast the competition, then start blasting all the brown blocks you can find - especially on the wall. The path up above the Goombas leads to another field full of Sherms and breakable blocks, and you can also duck around the ledge overlooking the forest below to jump up on the red beams where more Wooded Kingdom Purple Coins are. If you want, you can also capture a Goomba and form a stack big enough to reach the Goombette in a hat on the right side to get a Power Moon. This place is filled with Goombas, and there’s a small crawl space along the left side you can crouch down to find more Wooded Kingdom Purple Coins. Head the opposite way down into a garden that overlook the Odyssey below. Up here, there are several Steam Gardeners in line to recharge nearby, and you can ground pound an empty station in the corner to get a Power Moon. Place it in the patch next to the robot to sprout a giant beanstalk all the way up to the next area - the Forest Charging Station. Oblige the robot inside by pulling the lever to get a seed. This leads to the Secret Flower Field’s entrance, so head inside. Use Cappy to take control and destroy the other one, then turn your attention to the blocked up building on the left, and destroy the entrance with the Sherm. In the next area, the Piranha Plants have been replaced by Sherms, tank-like enemies that fire projectiles your way.
